About me

Dr. Xubin Zheng is an Assistant Professor (Principal Investigator) in Computer Science at the School of Information Science and Technology, Great Bay University. He is a Guangdong High-Level Young Talent (广东省高层次青年人才) and serves as Deputy Director of the Dongguan Key Laboratory of AI and Dynamical Systems (东莞市AI与动力系统重点实验室副主任), Director of the Intelligent Life Innovation Center (人工智能研究院智慧生命创新中心负责人), and Member of the China Council of ISCB (国际计算生物学学会中国理事会理事). He received his Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (supervised by Prof. Kwong-Sak Leung and Prof. Man-Hon Won), Master degree and Bachelor degree at The University of Hong Kong and Zhejiang University. He participated in compiling the 2024 China AI White Paper Series (《中国人工智能系列白皮书》) and served as the lead author for the chapter “AI-enabled Multi-Omics Integration (人工智能赋能多组学)”.

His research interests focus on AI for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, including the integration of spatial multimodal omics data and AI virtual cell. His work has appeared in top journals and conferences across bioinformatics and artificial intelligence, including Nature Communications, Advanced Science, Genome Research, Bioinformatics, KDD, RECOMB, ICLR, and AAAI.
